Free Pattern Friday - To Go Coffee Handler Cozy

To-Go Coffee Handler Cozy

You know how you get out of your car and have your keys, your phone, and your coffee? A coffee cozy with a handle means you can easily grab your coffee, and also take care of the necessities, like opening the front door, locking the car, and checking Facebook on your phone.

Uhhhmygod. Pinterest.

So insanely overwhelmed.  I have a friend who keeps posting amazing craft ideas on Facebook, and this afternoon she posted Pinterest, the mother of all motivation to make better crafts.  To quote her, "This site is seriously making my head explode with crafty goodness." Spot. On.

In other news, there is always a new tech gadget in my house, and this week it's a tablet.  My fiancee sees them as cool new toy.  I see it as something that needs a case knit for it.

I'm going to go bury my brain in Pinterest now and find some serious inspiration.  The internet is an amazingly overwhelming delight sometimes.

Weight Watchers, I love you. Please let me be a spokesperson.

I've been actually working on some projects other than scarves lately! I know, so unlike me. A couple coffee mug cozies, and a felt baby mobile.  The mobile isn't finished, so I don't have any good pictures of that yet, but these are the cozies.

I also have to put this out there because I'm really super proud, but after gaining 50 (yes, throw up in your mouth a little) pounds in the first year and a half dating my fiancee (home made pasta and cake decorating classes doomed me, plus lack of motivation to go running, and a boyfriend with a thing for ordering steak and two sides of mashed potatoes, yet he manages to stay thin-- ugh.), I just lot 25 of them.  Clearly still 25 to go, simple math, but I got halfway there! Weight Watchers, I love you.  Please let me be a spokesperson.

Here's my before and after:

Before - Boston Museum of Science.  Me vs Dinosaur.  Clearly impending doom.  Not huge, but way bigger than I'm comfortable with.  Me, I mean, not the T-Rex.

Trying on some of my pre-fat pants. Still too tight to avoid looking like a sausage, but they buttoned.

25 more pounds left to go, and two and a half months left before the wedding.  And the honeymoon, which includes a bikini in Bermuda.  Ready, set, go!
