  1. Exactly what I've been searching for!!!

  2. The pattern looks easy to follow, I only have one question, how to you move from one circular needle to another?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Just knit onto the next size needle, as if you were knitting onto the original needle. If you're uncomfortable with this, you can always just slip all your stitches onto the larger needle until they're transferred, but I'd just knit them onto the new needle.

  14. Do you have a childs size pattern for this hat? I would love to knit one for my daughter, but above comments indicate this would probably be too big.
    Thank you.

    3. I see the new pattern sizes. Thank you. I have made 3 hats from the original patter and they all seem to be pointy at the tip. How can I avoid this? Also on the new pattern is mentions to block lightly over a plate.... I have never heard of this. How is this done?

      Delete
    4. I changed up the decreases at the end so that there will be no pointy tip. I elongated the pattern before the decreases, and then decreased quicker in pattern so that it doesn't point. To block over a plate, I dampened the hat (you can mist with a spray bottle, or press between wet paper towels, soaking the hat just takes too long to dry and is unnecessary) and slipped a round plate inside it while it dried. While it was blocking, it sort of looked like a beret because of the shape the plate gives. Once dry, it has a nice round shape to it.

    5. I noticed the changes in the decrease, and suspected that might be why. Thanks for the instruction on "blocking" I have never seen thta before. I have done 4 hats with the original pattern and everyone loves them. I am now working on the first hat using the revised pattern and looking forward to the end result.

Thank you so much for sharing and answering my questions.

  23. My first time knitting in the round. I am using the 24 in circular needles as recommended in the pattern, but having a rough time. I looked up the magic loop method, will this work with the 24 in needles? I just started and can't tell if it's going to work correctly. Any advice?

  28. Youuu whoooo .... I saved this pattern from 4 yrs. ago. Unfortunately I failed to include the yarn size and what size needles to use. Would like to knit up another one for my mom, she moved and lost hers. Have ripped out more times than I can count. Either too small or would fit two heads at one time! Anyone have the info that I'm missing? This pattern is no longer on Raverly. Very sad face! Thanks in advance.
